Senior project management and planning director Albert Penello explained that Microsoft was considering a cloud gaming platform to enable backward compatibility, but he felt it would be "problematic" due to varying internet connection qualities. Xbox Live director of programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb suggested users could use the HDMI-in port on the console to pass an Xbox 360 or any other device with HDMI output through Xbox One. This is the following list of all backward compatible games on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S under this functionality.Īt its launch in November 2013, the Xbox One did not have native backward compatibility with original Xbox or Xbox 360 games.

On November 15, 2021, a "final addition" of 76 titles was published as part of the 20th anniversary of the launch of the original Xbox console. The Xbox Series X/S was released in 2020 and was confirmed to be backwards compatible with the same list of games as the Xbox One at launch. On October 24, 2017, another such update added games from the original Xbox library. The dashboard update containing backward compatibility was released publicly on November 12, 2015. The reason are 2 different publishers for physical / digital. The Xbox One gaming console has received updates from Microsoft since its launch in 2013 that enable it to play select games from its two predecessor consoles, Xbox and Xbox 360. Also apparently the physical version doesn't get patches, while the digital version does. I've also heard that the digital and physical versions of DP1 are separate, so savegames do not carry over. My Switch version of DP1 crashed about 3-4 times during 1 playthrough, while DP2 hasn't crashed at all. Unless you got the PC version fixed, their ranking was I saw a video of someone comparing all DP1 versions. I'll definitely play through it a 2nd time

Overall I am happy with the game and how it fits into the overall story. Also, I was disappointed that I could not look through windows and stalk people. Gameplay wise the framerate was no issue for me, but a few side quests felt dull, especially since the rewards are forgettable. Story wise there are a few unanswered questions I would've liked to be solved, but overall the characters are quite good and the main cast was believable to me.

I will not get into details, but you can see that the cases of DP1 and 2 really changed Zach. I really liked how DP1 and 2 were connected. I had my first playthrough today and was emotionally touched at the end.
